Many women with large, natural breasts complain of back pain, shoulder soreness and an inability to fit into clothing. They may feel that large breasts make them look heavier than they are, especially in photographs.
Female breast reduction by liposuction reduces both breast size and weight and can correct for asymmetries that are present in natural breasts.
For many women, female breast reduction done by liposuction has many advantages over traditional breast reduction.
Liposuction of the female breasts is a simple 90 minute procedure that can reduce female breasts by as much as 50% and provide a mild to moderate degree of breast lift.

There are no unsightly scars and the most patients can return to work the following day or the day thereafter.

OHIP covers only traditional breast reduction, which has the following disadvantages:

Large anchor shaped scars, and late stage changes in shape of the breast

“Bottoming out”, a flattened shape with lack of nice projection or “push up effect”.

What are the benefits of female breast reduction by liposuction?

For good candidates, breast reduction through liposuction is a safer and easier alternative to a traditional breast reduction – with no unsightly scars.

Breasts can be reduced by up to 50% - the average reduction is about 30%. This typically eliminates most of the negative health consequences of large breasts, including shoulder and back pain, difficulty exercising, skin rashes or infections, and inability to find clothing or bras. Reduced breasts can improve self confidence and make it easier to exercise.

The safety record of breast reductions with liposuction is impressive. Dr Kara has not had a patient experience a significant complication or infection.

The cost of Breast Reduction Liposuction is $1800 for one breast, $3500 for both breasts when combined with OHIP coverage.
